SAT閱讀速讀術訓練之 no+名詞篇

盡管SAT閱讀的速度要求不算太嚴，但SAT閱讀依然是很多SAT備考黨們奪得路上的一大障礙。AT閱讀試題 重要的是理解，在SAT閱讀訓練中如何既提高速度又提高閱讀理解準確率?今天的主打篇目“no+名詞”能給你很好的答復。

　　SAT閱讀訓練是考前的必要環節，對于SAT閱讀試題的把握是重點，

　　1. 理解基礎

　　針對no+名詞，可以理解為not any +名詞

　　舉例：

　　I have no money.

　　=I do not have any money.

　　I have no choice.

　　=I don't have any choice.

　　注意：not 在句子位置上，轉移到了動詞上。

　　熱身練習：

　　There’s absolutely no reason to get up early tomorrow morning.

　　There is no excuse.

　　There was no hospital in the town.

　　No student is to leave the room.

　　No job has more influence on the future of the world.

　　No letters survive from this early period.

　　That's my kind of holiday - no telephone, no TV and no worries.

　　He had no intention of paying the cash.

　　2. 理解升級

　　任何一個B的A對象都是不存在的，等于在說，如果一個對象A是B的，那么，這個對象A不存在。

　　如果這個命題是真的，那么其逆否命題也是真的。

　　即如果一個A對象是存在的，那么這個A對象不是B的。

　　即任何一個存在的A, 都不是B的。

　　好了，我們來看句子：

　　There is no grievance that is a fit object of redress by mob law.

　　=There is not any grievance that is a fit object of redress by mob law. 這句話等于“任何一個B的(that is a fit object of redress by mob law) A(grievance) 都是不存在的。”

　　作者說出這個觀點的時候，其實在說：

　　任何一個存在的grievance都不是a fit object of redress by mob law。

　　我們回到原文語境:

　　1-“…nor that grievances may not rise…”(26行)

　　2-“If such arise, let proper legal provisions be made for with the least possible delay…”(33行)

　　這時，我們可以發現：

　　當說出There is no grievance that is a fit object of redress by mob law. (36行)

　　作者的思維，我試著解構如下：

　　任何一個存在的grievance都不是a fit object of redress by mob law。既然任何一個存在的grievance都不是一個通過mob law去redress的合適對象， 那么，對于任何一個存在的grievance, 就不要通過mob law去redress了。

　　作者對mob law的態度是否定的。

　　grievance理解為“a cause of distress (as an unsatisfactory working condition) felt to afford reason for complaint or resistance”。

　　redress理解為“to remove the cause of (a grievance or complaint)”。

　　mob law理解為“control of a political situation by those outside the conventional or lawful realm, typically involving violence and intimidation”。

　　3. 理解總結

　　1- no+名詞。

　　速讀術： not any +名詞，not移到動詞。

　　2- There is no B的A。

　　速讀術：任何一個B的A是不存在的。

　　速讀術：任何存在的A，都不是B的。
